...Super Star Weekend

Nolan & I went to Albuquerque this weekend to watch Wes throw the Javelin at the State Track Meet! It was a lot of fun and really HOTT!! Wes did so awesome! He took 3rd overall! It was fun to watch him in action and his little routine that he goes through before he throws. There is nothing better than to watch your little brother do something that he loves! It was so nerve racking each time before he threw! I was a very proud Big-Sis this weekend! Taking pictures of him on the medal stand was a little emotional. Ok I know "Cut the Cord" (as Nolan & Jeremy would say)! Wes is the baby of the family and we have all spoiled him! He is an amazing uncle and such a fun brother! We are very proud of you Wes! You are an ALL-STAR!!
The boy from Los Alamos that took first was quite sure of himself! He was pretty amazing to watch. His form was so good and he would start clapping before he threw to get the crowd all jazzed up and then they would start clapping before he threw! Hopefully he gave Wes a few tips, because he broke the State Record and he will be graduating! Next year Wes YOU'RE #1!

We discovered 1 thing about Olivia this weekend...She doesn't like Track Meets! Nolan was nice enough to take care of her while we were waiting for the medals to be handed out! It was very important for me to see Wes get his medal and take some pictures! Thanks Nolan for being a GREAT husband! Olivia was so good all weekend with all the running around we did! Of course no trip to Albuquerque would be complete without some good food and some shopping! We did our fair share! Hopefully we will be returning this weekend to pick up our new camper (if everything goes ok) We are very excited about it and can't wait to get Camping season started!

The smile & hat didn't stay on that long!

Kourt wearing Kaitlin's sunglasses!

What was fun about your weekend?

...It's Official

...It's happened! I knew that they day would come, but I didn't think that it would come so soon! I was warned and told, but I totally wasn't ready! I thought I still had time before it happened! Ok...

OLIVIA IS OFFICIALLY CRAWLING!

She finally discovered that she can do it! It is so awesome, but at the same time, so not good for her mother. I wasn't ready! I haven't moved things that I need to! It is so great that she has done it all on her own! She is discovering other rooms and finding tupperware, and her books, and shoes! I love it! I love that she has discovered so many new things! I love the look in her eyes when she sees something new!

most of all...

...I love being a MOM!

...Laffy Taffy

...Tonight for Young Women's we pulled TAFFY! My fore-arms are totally buff and my fingers are so sore! I found out real quick why they invented machines to do this...your arms get tired really fast! Unless you are Grandma Ruth!
We got to pick our color & flavor! We had girls doing some pretty cool combos! One girls taffy looked like slime!
It was so much fun!
(the leaders totally sucked at it! the girls were awesome at it!)
Thank You Grandma Ruth for coming and teaching us how to PULL SOME TAFFY!!
Here is my 1st Prize Taffy

...My First

Yesterday was my First Mother's Day! I had a great day!
I had to talk in Church, which wasn't as bad as I thought, and surprisingly I didn't cry the whole time.

Nolan bought me a new diaper bag & a Ped-Egg!
(The Ped-Egg is awesome! I recommend it to everyone! I love having pedicures and this will make it super easy to do it myself! My diaper bag hasn't come it yet, but I am super excited for it!)
My wonderful Sis-n-law, Rachelle made dinner for us! It was super good and so nice not to have to cook dinner!
I am so blessed to have such wonderful mothers in my life!
My own mother is so wonderful and smart and one of my best friends! She always knows how to make me laugh!
To my wonderful Mother-in-Law, Teressa. Thank you for being my second mother. Thanks for raising that ornery son of yours and teaching him all that he knows. Thanks for being such a support system for me and always reassuring me that I am doing a good job!
To my sister Amanda, you are an wonderful example to me and are my very bestest friend!
To my sis-n-law Desiree, Thank you for being such a good mom to Jace & Mason. Thank you for putting up with Jared! (that is a job in itself) We love you and are so glad that you are in our family!
To my sis-n-law Heidi, You are an amazing woman! I love talking to you, (even though we don't enough) you are such a fun mom and I love how you are never afraid to be silly with your kids in public!
To all my friends who are mothers, Thank you for being such good examples to me. For letting me ask a million questions! I love that I have so many friends that are moms!

Thank You to all the Mothers in My Life! I couldn't do it with out you!

...I totally forgot!

...I was so worried about telling everyone my dramatic story about the Dr.'s office I forgot to tell you that I have a Baby Genius!
...She is ARMY crawling everywhere!
...She is starting to FINALLY sleep through the night
(waking up at 4am or 5am counts for the whole night to me!)
...She is a TOTAL Mommy's Girl!
(I LOVE IT!)
...She pulled herself up in her crib yesterday!
(went to get camera, she fell and it was sad!)
...She loves sucking on Drew's Head!
(he isn't mobile so she will crawl over to him and suck away!)
...If she isn't getting enough attention she will FAKE cough
(very funny!)
...Ok So I just had to brag a little about my Lil' Sweet Pea!
What Mom doesn't think her child is a Baby Genius?

...6 month Update and more!

Lil' Sweet Pea went to the Dr. today! She is now tipping the scales at... 13 lbs. 9 oz and 26 in long

Here are a few Pics from the last month and the rest of the story...

...The Dr. is a little worried that she isn't gaining enough weight! She has only gained 1 lb since her 4 month appt. He wants to see her back the middle of June to see how she was doing instead of waiting till her 1 year check up! He asked me about her eating & nursing. Which she loves both! She is going to be the 3 year old still nursing I am afraid! He doesn't think that she nurses long enough?! (My daughter is the definition of NOSEY! If something is going on around her she will eat just enough to comfort her for a while and then she is pulling the blanket off to see whats going on. I am not kidding! She is very active and doesn't even stop moving in her sleep, she gets that from her dad!) So he suggested nursing her in a quiet room... We will see?! He wants me to hold off on giving her other solids right now. When we go back in mid June if things still aren't up to par he wants to run some tests to make sure things are working right. Which I am so glad that he is concerned. I have a very GOOD Dr. !

Well let me paint a picture for you...
Olivia just got 3 shots (crying/screaming/cranky), I am by myself and a little upset about the whole weight issue (Nolan had a Business Appt.) and the weather is nasty (that makes me grouchy)! I try and call Nolan, thinking he should be done by now, nope no answer. My mom is at school teaching (can't call her)...My Mother-in-Law is at work, (I don't want to start crying on the phone and her thinking that her son married an idiot!) So what do I do? I call the next best thing to my mom, MY SISTER! She calmed me down and told me things would be fine! I mostly just needed to cry to a Female! (Nolan doesn't understand that?)

I know she is just fine, but I just need reassured sometimes! You know...right?
Being a first time mom is very stressful!
She is the best thing that EVER (well next to her dad)
happened to me!
