...Photoshop for Dummies

...Nolan bought, well kind of thanks shay, me Adobe Photoshop like forever ago (3 months or so really) and I haven't had time to sit down and figure it all out. I still don't understand it really, but playing around for a little bit this is what I did to a photo I love of Sweet Pea...

Before...

After...

(yes I was going for the washed out look, I love the way it looks)

...Ok all your Photography buffs how did I do?
I seriously would pay one of you to teach me some tricks!

...Have you seen me?

...Yeah...I just pretty much just stole this idea off Amanda's blog...

This is my baby sister Kaitlin and she has abandoned her family. She was last seen somewhere in Southern Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Northern Utah, and Arizona, I think. If any of you have seen her, send her home immediately!!

Dear Kaitlin...

We miss you and can't wait to meet your sexy boyfriend that so kindly bought you a juicey hamburger at Jack-in-the-Box! We loved his mullet! It totally rocked...I wish Nolan had one! I thought he looked pretty sexy without his t-shirt on too! His beer belly really was pretty hott! I wish you were here so that you could tell me your funny stories and so that we could dream about toilet-papering Peg Bundy's house! Sweet Pea misses her auntie!

...NAH NAH NAH! Told you so!

...That is what I wanted to tell the Dr. after we got the results from Sweet Pea's lab work.

Yes, last week was pure hell. After her 6 month well-baby check up he was a little concerned about her not gaining weight. So he wanted to monitor her every 2 months...I was okay with that. We went in June and things were good, she went from weighing 13 lbs. 9 0z @ 6 months to weighing 15 lbs @ 8 months. Last Tuesday (Aug 12 th) she weighed in at 15 lbs. 14 oz. She only gained 14 oz in 2 months!! I was shocked! She eats like a fat girl! I knew then that we were in for it! So the Dr. wanted to do some blood work and a urine analysis to check for kidney function, abnormalities in her digestive system etc. Getting the blood taken alone was HORRIBLE! I cried, she cried and Nolan was worried I was going to lose it at any moment. Seriously! They sent us home with a little pee bag and a cup and wished us good luck! We needed it! After a couple hours of wearing this pee bag she finally went, but the stickiness (is that a word?) had worn off and she went in her diaper! There were a couple of drops in the bag...Nolan squeezed them out into the cup. We hoped and prayed that it would be good enough!

Fast Forward to yesterday- The nurse from the Dr.'s office FINALLY called me and said that the blood work came back normal, but that they wanted another urine analysis. OH Boy! Because her urine was contaminated! It's pee! But we could come into the office at our convince and get the pee bag and the cup and come home! Thank You!

All this just re-assured me that I am a good mom and that my daughter maybe a little petite, but I am ok with that! I hope it lasts forever! I never got to be the petite girl in school, I was the AMAZON GIRL that was on the back row for class pictures with all the boys!

Sweet Pea-

I hope you stay petite forever! I am jealous of you in a mother/daughter kind of way!

...Why I've been behind on Blogging

...Summer has been so crazy! I have been playing catch up nearly all summer. We have been having lots of fun! Here is what we have been up to...

Playing in the "Pond"...

...Saw Elder Jason come home safe!

... 2 Braves games with the Olsens

...went to the SJC Fair

...Eating Oreo Fudgees

(because she is cutting teeth and really anything goes at the Stewarts!)

...Most of all having the time of our lives!

...The Fair

...We took Sweet Pea to the Fair. She loved the animals and even got to pet a few. The smell reminded me why I don't have animals!
Too bad Sweet Pea wasn't big enough to get in the pin and catch one of these...

we could have taken it home! No thanks!

We saw a lot of this...

and this...

and when we saw this...

Nolan said, "Check out the balls on that thing!"

YES!That is my husband...just Keepin' it Real Folks! His sister was disgusted.

Sweet Pea got to Test Drive a Tractor...

...then got a lesson from Grandpa & Dad

We LOVE the Fair!

...Partying with the Olsens

...We met up with the Olsens in Phoenix and had more laughs then we could really handle! We went shopping, ate good food, went to a Baseball game and ate some more! We love Nate & Kendra and wish they didn't live so far away! Sweet Pea loved the Baseball game and Nate & Kendra were cheap entertainment along with this lady(not her daughter)....

(die hard Braves fan...she got even funnier after a couple of drinks)

...and then there was this guy

(he wanted me to take a picture of him? One too many Jose Cuervos)

Of course Sweet Pea had to have Braves attire on! Thank goodness I found some outifts for her when I was pregnant! She looked so cute! Thanks to Grandpa Jerry, Nolan & I got to match one night!

We laughed till we cried and shoved our faces till our buttons popped!Sweet Pea loved the crowds, staring at other peoples food and watching those Baseball players in tight pants (ok not really)! She got so tired one night at the game she fell asleep...
All -n- all it was a fun trip! We ate at some good places like...
(thanks Sharon for blogging about Matt's Big Breakfast! It was amazing!) ,

and watched 2 good baseball games!

GO BRAVES!!

(nate this picture makes me laugh every time I see it! I couldn't resist!)

For a good time call the Olsens! Seriously!
