Our Young Women's in Excellence is on Saturday and I need some help. I don't want to go into detail of what we are doing because it's so fun and I want to wait till I have pics to back it up!

I do need your help though...What do you listen to while you are workin' out, cleaning house, driving, or just hanging out at home. (ie. this is church related...it needs to be clean). I need something mostly upbeat! You know that makes you want to get up and dance!

...Oh I haven't forgot about the great & exciting news...(if you are thinking I am with child...keep thinking)I am busy getting some YW in Excellence stuff done.

...One year ago today I gave birth to you. It was fast and it hurt real bad! Thank you for not making my labor last into the double digits! 6 hours was enough! Back in those days you slept and slept and ate and ate and pooped (alot). Now you don't sleep (ok maybe sometimes) and you still eat alot!

You are such a funny girl and have quite the attitude these days. Thank you for turning my world right side up!

A Bump to the head & A Maxi-Pad

...Sweet Pea got her 1st official Bruise! OUCH! She bumped it on the side of the tub, trying to be a big girl and stand up! The next morning it was pretty swollen and purple...

...Last week while playing in my Bathroom she found my cupboard of "girl products" and was in heaven! Little does she know that when she has to use them...it won't be that exciting! While I had the camera out taking pictures of the bruise, she found a Maxi-Pad and crawled around laughing! Who knew Maxi-Pads were that funny?!

Her Birthday is on Saturday...Perfect Yellow Bruise for her Birthday!!

Sorry Dad...I know that you are embarrassed that I posted this?!

...I would like to thank you for the wonderful deal that you are having on DVR Receivers. I am now saving $5 a month on my bill. That is $5 more buck-a-roos that I can spend else where(ahem, Sweet Pea). Thank you for calling my house at 8:05 am this morning and forcing me to hurry and put some clothes on. I didn't think you were going to come that early, they lady on the phone said between 8am-12pm. I thought she was kidding?! Guess not! I have a hard time getting up anyway, but your wake-up call made it easy! Thank you for installing my new DVR Receiver so that I can record this and this at the same time! Genius I tell you! I was having panic attacks trying to chose what to watch on Thursday nights.

Sorry that our house was a little on the warm side(the hubs is weird with the temperature lately), and maybe, just maybe smelled a little (ok alot) like garlic from last nights dinner! Oopps! Sorry! But Thank you for making our life that much easier! We love TV and you just made it that much easier for us to plop our big 'o butts down and watch!

...NAH NAH NAH! Told you so!

...That is what I wanted to tell the Dr. after we got the results from Sweet Pea's lab work.

Yes, last week was pure hell. After her 6 month well-baby check up he was a little concerned about her not gaining weight. So he wanted to monitor her every 2 months...I was okay with that. We went in June and things were good, she went from weighing 13 lbs. 9 0z @ 6 months to weighing 15 lbs @ 8 months. Last Tuesday (Aug 12 th) she weighed in at 15 lbs. 14 oz. She only gained 14 oz in 2 months!! I was shocked! She eats like a fat girl! I knew then that we were in for it! So the Dr. wanted to do some blood work and a urine analysis to check for kidney function, abnormalities in her digestive system etc. Getting the blood taken alone was HORRIBLE! I cried, she cried and Nolan was worried I was going to lose it at any moment. Seriously! They sent us home with a little pee bag and a cup and wished us good luck! We needed it! After a couple hours of wearing this pee bag she finally went, but the stickiness (is that a word?) had worn off and she went in her diaper! There were a couple of drops in the bag...Nolan squeezed them out into the cup. We hoped and prayed that it would be good enough!

Fast Forward to yesterday- The nurse from the Dr.'s office FINALLY called me and said that the blood work came back normal, but that they wanted another urine analysis. OH Boy! Because her urine was contaminated! It's pee! But we could come into the office at our convince and get the pee bag and the cup and come home! Thank You!

All this just re-assured me that I am a good mom and that my daughter maybe a little petite, but I am ok with that! I hope it lasts forever! I never got to be the petite girl in school, I was the AMAZON GIRL that was on the back row for class pictures with all the boys!

...We met up with the Olsens in Phoenix and had more laughs then we could really handle! We went shopping, ate good food, went to a Baseball game and ate some more! We love Nate & Kendra and wish they didn't live so far away! Sweet Pea loved the Baseball game and Nate & Kendra were cheap entertainment along with this lady(not her daughter)....

Of course Sweet Pea had to have Braves attire on! Thank goodness I found some outifts for her when I was pregnant! She looked so cute! Thanks to Grandpa Jerry, Nolan & I got to match one night!

We laughed till we cried and shoved our faces till our buttons popped!Sweet Pea loved the crowds, staring at other peoples food and watching those Baseball players in tight pants (ok not really)! She got so tired one night at the game she fell asleep...

Maybe if I am lucky he will even treat me to this on the way home...

...Lazy Days

...I seriously could stay in my pjs all day! I really hate getting ready. It seems like it takes FOR-EV-ER! Most days, unless I have somewhere to go, I don't get ready till 11ish (shhhh!) . Somedays Nolan comes home for lunch and I still haven't taken a shower! We have been married for almost 5 1/2 years...he knows me all to well! I love hanging out at home in my pjs with my messy hair and no make-up face, I guess after all those years of working I deserve it! Just Keepin' it real Folks!

I swear this was inherited from a parent or someone else in the family because it is not just me! I pick scabs until they bleed, zits (even the smallest sign of them), my nose, Sweet Peas nose, pretty much anything! I can't help it! I do it and sometimes don't know that I am picking until the scab on my arm starts bleeding?! Nolan hates it when I bother Olivia, but seriously sometimes you just ignore that HUGE booger that is right there!

She once blew her nose at the table and got a bloody nose(mind you we were at a restaurant)! EWWW! She smacked and chewed her food like a COW! I can't stand smacking!GROSSSS!

...We're BACK!!

...We got home yesterday afternoon! It felt so good to walk into our house and know that if Olivia cried I wouldn't feel bad for the person in the room next to us and I got to sleep in my own BED! AHHH!! The wedding was BEAUTIFUL and so was the Bride! We had lots of fun and I will post more tomorrow. We are headed to Nolan's softball game! Glad to be back in the normal routine of things for right now anyway!

...Just another Monday?!

From the moment I woke up this morning The Bangles song Manic Monday has been playing in my head all day long! I knew that it was going to be a SUPER BUSY day and I was wishing that it was Friday again so that I could have been able to get one more thing done! My sister had to take LIL' Drew for a Dr. Appt (@ 4 months he weighs 16 lbs 5 oz!!) and she asked me to watch the girls for her! I love watching Lexi & Kourtney! They are so much fun and we love playing and watching movies!

This is what we did...

...made a few funny potatoes

...played Ants N the Pants

...Uncle Nolan brought home lunch, so we had a picnic on the living room floor

...had a bowl of ice cream

...watched 2 GREAT movies

Enchanted & Ratatouille

...Played with some toys

...made about 500 trips to the Bathroom

(Kourt is potty-training)

(2 1/2 hours! YAY!! Mom was happy!)

Then after Amanda came and picked up the girls...Nolan called

...He forgot his cell phone at home and left some papers from a client in my truck!! (Oh boy! Those of you that know Nolan...that is his LIFE...I call it his girlfriend...he doesn't think it's funny!)

... So we made a trip into town to take Nolan his cell phone & papers. He was nice enough to treat us to a Sonic Drink (my favorite!)

...We made it home just in time to go for our afternoon walk with Amanda, kids and Grandma Whipple! After our walk...went home, Nolan put water on our grass seed(please grow!)...changed his clothes for Softball practice and out the door we went! We stopped at Subway on our way into town for dinner!

YUMMMM!!!

...At Softball practice for an hour, came home put Olivia in the Bath and had a short FHE lesson!
Read Olivia a few books, kissed her good-night and put her in bed!
WHEW!!

...Said prayers, kissed(muah!) each other good-night, Nolan rolled over and went to dream land, while I stayed up to Blog about our busy day!

...After all of this she is still smiling!

...Just put a Band-Aid on it

Does your life ever feel like your getting dumped on? Do you just wish that you could just stick a Band-Aid on it till things got better? When we were little my parents had an Ace Bandage that was a miracle worker. If we had a cut, hurt arm, sore leg...we would just get out the Ace Bandage and our pain would go away with in minutes. Well ,my nieces love Band-Aids...They put them on EVERYTHING! A sore ear, scratch on your little toe, cut on your chin...there is a Band-Aid there to cover it up! I just wish that I could put a Band-Aid on others problems! I feel really sorry for them and sometimes just wish that I could do a quick fix like a Band-Aid! I realized that the problems that I have seem so petty compared to other people I know.

So next time when things get a little rough, put a Band-Aid on your forehead and maybe, just maybe it will all go away!

...What an experience...

Today I took my dad to his office so that he could catch up on some work. He is feeling much better! So I dropped him off... went and picked up some lunch for him and then met Nolan for lunch! After Nolan & I had lunch at the one & only ARBY'S! (I am seriously going to weigh 500 lbs soon!)I went back to my dad's office to hang out with him for a while! While he worked and Olivia slept...I got to watch the GSN (Game Show Network)!HOORRRAAAY! Then I had to go to the Bathroom! Not a big deal right? WRONG! This winter has been so strange to our area that the sewer pipes at my dad office FROOZZEE!! SOLID! GROSS!! They tried to thaw them out, but no luck! So instead of making everyone suffer...he rented a PORT-A-POTTY! NASTY!!

I don't do PORT-A-POTTY's! They take me back to the good 'ol Girls Camp days! Not so fond of them! I can remember having to go at night and bring a flashlight with you and making one of your friends get out of bed to come and shine the light through the little holes on the top so that you can see (somewhat) you are doing! They just are nasty! By the end of Girls Camp they were so bad that you would just hold it! I am not a true camper! Nolan & I bought a camper 2 years ago! That is the camping I do!

I think for the most part I am a pretty tough cookie! Labor was a big o piece of cake for me!! I just don't do PORT-A-POTTY's! Next time I'll pass...

P.S. All these anonymous comments about my husband...are from him! He has figured out that you can leave anonymous comments! Then he proceeds to tell me that some anonymous person left me a comment! So funny right?! They are all about how wonderful he is! HA HA Nolan you are funny & quite clever!
