...Whirlwind of July

... July for sure was a busy month for this Sassy Stewart household. We were home 2 weekends out of the month, plus not getting home till well after 9pm on weekdays! We are sad to see July go, but hopefully August won't be near as busy!

...For the 4th of July we went camping in Dolores Co w/ Nolan's family. We had a great time and opted not to do fireworks, but instead gave Sweet Pea glow-sticks! Good thing she didn't know what she was missing!

...Then it was off to the Temple with Carson and a Birthday celebration for ME!! Turning 26 never felt so good! I was happy to get away for the night but so happy to return to my Sweet Pea! Nolan made sure that we ate good while in Albuquerque and we saw this great movie too...

... Then it was back to reality to get ready for the 24th celebration (Pioneer Day). Our ward was in charge of the BBQ dinner this year. I had very mixed feelings about it, but after Friday night was over I was certainly glad that we didn't have the water games on Saturday! There is no way I could have pulled it off with out these people, plus my family and numerous members of our ward! Sweet Pea loved the Parade! When it came time to race, well lets just say that she was a little ticked off! Nolan was holding her back till the shouted go, and she DIDN'T like that! So she didn't race this year! Maybe we will start training for next year?! Nolan was asked to play on a friends Softball team this year, I was a little hesitant because his City league play had just ended and I was a little burnt out on Softball! But being the good person and player Nolan is, he did it! They weren't the best team, but weren't the worst! They ended up playing a total of 5 games on Saturday. Nolan was sure glad that they lost! We are glad to be done with sports, for a few more months at least!

...This past weekend we meet up with the other Sassy Stewarts in Flagstaff for a Family Camping trip! We don't camp like normal people though! We went swimming, bowling and ate the best food ever!! It was a great weekend!

...All in all July was a BLAST!

... I need to SHOUT HOORAY!!

...Today was Sweet Pea's 1st "official" day of Nursery. She stayed there the entire time, well except when Aunt KK brought her too me with stinky pants. I was a much less stressed out mama today and I actually participated in Sunday School!

...So Shout out for JOY!!

(just keep your fingers crossed it stays this way!)

... Being a Mom means

...I watch Oprah! I feel like it is sometimes against the rules to admit that you watch TV while being a SAHM (stay at home mom). But I do, not all the time, but some times while I fold laundry or get ready. Yesterday, while folding laundry, I was watching Oprah. (Day time TV sucks by the way) The ENITRE show was on the topic of Mothers. I was impressed and finally realized that I am not the only one that feels like pulling her hair out from time to time. These authors were there(I am buying their books), as well as an audience full of Mothers! Genius I tell ya!

I am sure that you all are thinking... "You have one kid, what's the big deal!" I am not one to sit around and eat cake pops all day. I have to be busy! I have slowly learned over the last 18 months that, it's ok not to be doing something all the time! It has taken me this long to come to terms with that. I have my sister to vent to, but she gets tired of hearing it all the time. My husband thinks I am crazy a majority of the time! It felt so good to know that I am not the only mother out there that has some of these feelings, and to hear other mothers being brutally  honest! I am far from perfect, but I try hard. I always have Sweet Pea's best interest at heart. I don't sit and play with her all day, there are times when I tell her to go play with her toys. But I try, and that is all I can do.  There are days where I don't take a shower till 3 or 4 PM. I hate doing laundry every Monday. I wish someone would have told me that I would never get to see my husband! Why didn't any tell me that kids poop and poop a lot?

I wouldn't trade being a mom for any other job! I love the good days because they make to bad days do-able! Being able to be a mom is a great blessing!

So here is your chance... To vent!
What do you wish someone would have told you before becoming a mother?
What is one thing that you just can't stand?
It's ok! Just be honest... it feels good I promise!

P.S. Mom sorry for making you crazy!

...Ruler of the Roost

...Nolan & I have learned over that last couple of months that we are no longer in charge.

She is...

...through the fits, screams, tears & laughs...we are having fun!
Let's just say that she keeps us on our toes!
